8th graders you need to either turn in your gown money or let DeAnna know you have a gown by Friday.

There will be a free flyfishing faire on Sunday April 22 @ Detert Park.  See the flier in the office window for more information.

 

Spring Fling Dance this Friday from 3-4:30 pm. Cost is $5.00 and you will need to pay in advance at the office before school, during break, or after school. The last day to pay is tomorrow. Hope to see you there!

 

Today is the last day to take advantage of the early bird yearbook rate. Get yours before the price goes up!

 

AVID applications are due this Friday. Come be a part of this amazing program!

Happy Birthday to~

 

The 6th grade volleyball team will be dismissed from class today at 1:30 for their game at Avery.

 

Attention volleyball fans: Our 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams will be playing against Avery after school today.  Come down to the gym and show your school spirit!  8th grade will begin at 3:30, followed by the 7th grade game at 4:30.  Good luck Colts!!

 

Starting today, and all B days, 7th graders can go join Mr. Herb and Mrs. Hannah for lunchtime help. Bring your lunch and get the extra support you may need!

8th grade boys who will attend Argonaut High next year and are interested in playing football please come to the office for summer practice information.

The Pennies for Patients Leukemia fundraiser competition continues this week. Of course, you can donate more than just pennies. Still in first place with the most donations is Mr. Custodio's class, 2nd place is now Mrs. Calestini's class, and 3rd place is Mrs. Glock's class. Fundraising competition continues until this Friday, February 23rd. Homeroom that collects the most wins an ice cream party.  

 

Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls - there will be volleyball try-outs from 3:00 to 5:00 today and Wednesday.  If you have any questions see Miss Kearney. 

 

Its time to order your yearbook! We are having a special early bird sale until March 2 and they will only cost 32 dollars. After that they will go up significantly. You can pay with cash or check and take it to Ms. Hirschfelt at breaks or after lunch. If you want to order it online and pay with a credit or debit card, you can get information from Ms. Hirschfelt or the front office. The first 50 people who buy them will have their name included in a prize drawing. 

 

Argonaut Junior Mustangs cheer will hold a clinic on March 1st & 2nd from 6-8 pm in the Argonaut Multi-purpose room.  Wear black shorts, white tee shirt, athletic shoes and bring water.  Have your hair in a high ponytail. Tryouts will be on March 4th from 9am-3pm @ Argonaut.  Football sign-ups for all levels will be on Sunday, February 25th from 11-1 or Sunday, March 4th from 4-6 @ Mountain Mikes Pizza in Martell.

Don’t forget about our Pennies for Patients fund raiser to help stamp out Leukemia and Lymphoma. Look for the donation box in your home room to donate your spare change for this worthy cause.

 

Attention 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls - If you are interested in trying out for the Ione Junior High Volleyball Team, you need to attend the informational meeting at lunch on Thursday at 11:30 in the main gym.

It is sign-up time for the A&A Shooters.  This is the Scholastic Clay Target team in Amador County.  All boys and girls from 6th grade through high school can join the team.  There is no experience necessary.  This is a shotgun sport.  Sign-ups will be at Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Martell tomorrow from 5 to 8 pm.  Anyone interested in learning how to shoot trap or to have their questions answered should come.  Practices will start in February and the season runs to mid-June.  There is no limit to the number on the team, there are no cuts, and there is no bench.  Everyone shoots as much as everyone else.  Come to sign-ups if you want to try it. The Ione Picnic Association is offering a $50 prize to the artist who designs the drawing for the 2018 Ione Homecoming coloring contest.  The deadline for entries is February 7th.  See DeAnna or Megan in the office for more information.

Students are not to walk across the lawn areas on campus. 

 

Basketball pep rally today during Colt Culture of tutorial.  Our Colts play Jackson Jr. High after school today in our gym. Go Colts!
